December 2020 Update
Season’s Greetings from the Fernie Physiotherapy Team!

As 2020 has been a year of change, we thank you for your continued support throughout these uncertain times. As we roll into the end of 2020, a few more changes are coming to the clinic for 2021.

Clinic COVID-19 Protocol Update
There have been several confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Elk Valley.  It has come to our attention that the protocol for managing people and their household/bubble/cohort that have undergone Covid testing and are awaiting results are not up to our clinic standards. Tested people are told to self-isolate until results come back, however, their household/bubble/cohort members are being told to go about life as normal. We kindly ask if anyone in your household/bubble/cohort is awaiting Covid Test results, to reschedule your appointment to after negative test results are confirmed or ask to have your appointment switched to a virtual one. There is no penalty for making changes to scheduled appointments if changes need to be made due to COVID precautions.
We want to do everything we possibly can to provide a safe environment for our staff and patients.

Fee increase
Please be advised that as of January 1, 2021
all assessments & treatments will have a fee increase of $5.

Maternity Leave
On a happier clinic note, one of our physios Stephanie, has begun maternity leave! We wish her and her partner Jordan all the best with their little one on the way.

New Physiotherapist joining the clinic
We are also pleased to announce a new physiotherapist joining us in
Fernie for winter 2021, Jennifer Delich.
Jennifer comes to us from Calgary, though she is originally from Fernie, and was the team physiotherapist with the Canadian Alpine Ski Team and the Canadian Long Track Speed Skating team for years. With a treatment approach that includes therapeutic exercise, Pilates, manual therapy, acupuncture, Gunn IMS (dry needling), and myofascial release, Jennifer will be a great choice for treatment for anyone looking to stay active this winter in Fernie. Jennifer starts January 4, 2021, at Fernie Physiotherapy.

Thank you again for all your support during 2020.
We look forward to keeping you active
and doing the things you love in 2021!

Sincerely,
The Fernie Physiotherapy Team
